Today’s employee spotlight shines brightly on Phyllis Baker, Account Manager at Gwin’s Travel. Of Phyllis’s 20 years in the travel industry, she has been an important part of the Gwin’s team for 17 years.
Phyllis was drawn to the travel industry because she enjoyed traveling and learning about new destinations and cultures. Still, the most interesting place Phyllis has ever visited is one of the United States most fascinating destinations, the north rim of the Grand Canyon. She also had a wonderful experience when she recently visited Cab San Lucas, Mexico, where she rode a camel on the beach!
When working at Gwin’s, Phyllis most enjoys building relationships with clients and solving problems. Of course, she has several tips that will prevent some problems from occurring, such as packing shoes in plastic bags to protect clothes, and packing an additional luggage tag and copies of passports and other important documents.
Away from the office, Phyllis enjoys cooking; she shares that that’s mostly because she likes to eat. She also spends time knitting and loves all outdoor activities. Her first concert was Foreigner. Her favorite concert of all times was when she saw The Eagles at Busch Stadium a few years ago.
The team at Gwin’s Travel appreciates the great work that Phyllis does on a daily basis. It is our pleasure to serve our clients alongside her.
